Collection: American Ash - Rough

This sapwood tree has a very clear pattern. The light yellow, tough wood is easy to work with, but is quite sensitive to impact. The grain is coarse, but that is what makes the drawing so beautiful. Due to the toughness and bending strength of this type, there are many specific applications. The heartwood is dark in color and considered by many to be inferior.

American Ash has approximately the same properties as European Ash . The whitest Essen comes from the state of Georgia in the United States. Yet there are a few differences: European Essen is milder and has a more refined structure.
